Our first training product, launched in August 2009, is the Introduction to Water Trading - More Profit, Less Risk, With Your Water Allocation program. We have partnered with Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE, which has accredited the course. The Course is also qualified for Farm Ready funding, a Federal Government program for farmers.
We have a second series of seminars in October and November across the Lower Murray Darling Basin (MDB).
The seminar has been designed to provide farmers involved in water trading with a better understanding of the water market in the Lower Murray Darling Basin. It will enable better decision making when buying, selling or using water allocations. It will assist irrigators to quantify their monthly water allocation needs. The program will outline likely market scenarios and use case studies to formulate sensible water trading strategies.
Seminar content:
terminology used in the water market;
the mechanics of the water market in the Lower Murray Darling Basin;
charting the water market - fundamental and technical analysis;
tools for predicting seasonal allocation;
practical water trading strategies for the farmer.
The Greeneye Water Trading program will soon be expanded to include industry specific and advanced trading courses.
